From desperate to hopeful, Erick is now the supervisor and director of a successful organization because of his trustworthiness and good heart. He attributes his success and fulfillment to the kindness of his new family who gave him purpose. Now, he’s committed to bringing that hope to the hopeless.

Literacy of Love

Literacy of Love is a registered 501c-3 Non-profit organization in the United States and is a registered NGO in Uganda. Our mission is to render help to vulnerable children and destitute families by providing basic needs, school requirements, and educational fees. With these opportunities, Literacy of Love believes that our graduates will turn around and give a hand up to other children in need thus creating a perpetual cycle of change. From helpless to empowered, our graduates will be the ones to change their community and family history. There are various ways to help our mission such as sponsorship and project development. 100% of all giving is used for its intended purposes because every member volunteers their services and time. If you are interested in learning more about our organization, please contact the founder, Cari Matejka @ carimatejka1@gmail.com

Our company employs graduates of the same organization that raised us up. In an effort to pay it forward, we give back a portion of our proceeds to help other vulnerable children have a hand up. Read more here
